Tom DeSalvo is the Director of Finance at Children’s Learning Centers of Fairfield County, where he has served since 2008. He oversees CLC’s budget, annual audit, financial reporting, and other key financial operations.

Tom’s connection to working with children and families began in high school, when he worked as an after-school and summer camp counselor. After earning his accounting degree, he began his career as an auditor at a Big Four accounting firm. He later earned his Connecticut teaching certification in secondary business education and taught in Stamford before ultimately returning to the accounting field. When the opportunity at CLC became available, it brought together his financial experience with his longstanding interest in education and community-based work.

Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford, and a Sixth Year Degree in Business Education from the University of Bridgeport.

Born and raised in Stamford, Tom values the opportunity to contribute to the community that shaped him. Outside of CLC, he serves as president of The Gary DeSalvo Memorial Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing college, and has been the Drama Club Advisor at Stamford High School since 2008. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Curtain Call, Inc. and is active in Stamford’s community theatre scene.

When he’s not working or volunteering, Tom is a passionate Mets, Jets, and UConn fan.
