Emily is an active volunteer in Fairfield County, working extensively with the Darien Library, The Community Fund of Darien, in local schools and through Girl Scouts of Connecticut.
She has served on the Board of Trustees of the Darien Library since 2017, joining the Executive Committee first as Corporate Secretary (2019) and then as Vice President (2020 to present). She has worked in a variety of capacities for The Community Fund, most recently as a member of the Thriving Youth Task Force.
Emily believes strongly in the importance of early childhood education and increasing access to mental health services and support. She and her daughters have volunteered with CLC programs since 2017, primarily at CLC Palmers Hill.
In her professional career, she worked at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in mergers and acquisitions in New York, Paris and London, before switching to a corporate path at Diageo plc in London. There she served as primary in-house counsel to the CFO, Group Controller, Head of Investor Relations and Global Audit and Risk.
