Retired after a thirty year teaching career in a number of different school systems, Anne most recently taught English and English as a Second Language for ten years at Central Middle School in Greenwich. Previously, she taught E.S.L.for ten years at Julian Curtiss School in Greenwich. Earlier teaching years included teaching junior high school English in Brooklyn, New York and before that in Westfield New Jersey.
While at Julian Curtiss, Anne worked with principal to organize outreach meetings for E.S.L. parents with the goal of making them comfortable attending conferences and meetings with teachers. Organized an annual Thanksgiving dinner for E.S.L. students and their extended families. At Central, organized trips to Broadway shows, with at least five scholarship students on each trip.
After retiring, she spent several years volunteering as Reading Partner in Stamford and teacher of E.S.L. to adults at Building One Community.
She was District Representative to Greenwich Representative Town Meeting for ten years, serving on the Education Committee.
Anne has a B.A. from Penn State, M.A. from Hunter College, and C.A.S. from Fairfield University.
Widowed, she lives live in Riverside and has three children and four grandchildren.
