At the end of the school year, more than 300 CLC children celebrated their transition to kindergarten, each receiving a backpack filled with essential school supplies thanks to the support of Odyssey Group, Alera Group, Synchrony, and King School.
The backpacks, carefully prepared by volunteers, included a pencil case, dry erase markers, eraser, pencils, crayons, scissors, composition book, pencil sharpener, glue stick and pocket folders. Kindergarten-bound children from all six CLC locations received these supplies, ensuring they started school prepared and confident.
CLC launched this program in 2020, and since then it has distributed around 1,500 backpacks with the support of many generous partners, providing families with financial relief and giving children a strong start to their public school education.
