As the weather gets nicer, and Covid-19 restrictions begin to ease we ask that you be mindful that Covid-19 is still a significant national health issue, and many states are beginning to see a rise in Covid-19 cases, along with the spread of highly contagious variants. We ask you to remain patient, and continue to be vigilant in the practices below to prevent the spread of Covid-19:
Wash your hands
Wear your mask
Maintain social distancing
We have asked our staff to practice the same precautions. To ensure the optimal health and safety of your children and our staff, children ages 3 and older, and all CLC staff are required to wear a mask while in our centers.
We ask that parents/guardians/emergency contacts wear a mask, and ensure that their nose and mouth are covered when dropping off and picking up children from our centers. Our staff reserve the right to refuse to accept or hand over your child to anyone picking up or dropping off that does not have a proper face covering on.
Daily child health screening forms must be completed fully and accurately. We are relying on your responses in “good faith”, and expect that you are being truthful with your responses to the questions asked on the screening form. Deceiving responses can lead to putting children, families, and staff at risk for Covid-19; may lead to the possible closure of a classroom; and a mandatory 2-week quarantine. You may also jeopardize your child’s spot in the program.
If your child is out sick, a doctor’s note will be required for him/her to return to school. Be sure to monitor for Covid-19 symptoms, check his/her temperature, and keep your child at home if he/she is exhibiting any symptoms. If you plan on traveling outside of Connecticut, you should inform your Family Service Worker. Please be reminded that it is the policy of CLC that children must quarantine for 14 days after travel.
We are all in this together and working together, we can continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your children.
